We started operating in Egypt in 1982 guided by both communities’ needs and the government’s development priorities. We work closely with vulnerable communities, civil society organizations, government entities and other stakeholders. We follow a “life Cycle Approach” that achieves sustainable impacts for children from birth to adulthood. Our programs improve health, education, protection and livelihood outcomes for children and their families. In 2011 we succeeded in improving the lives of around 2.5 million children, their families and care givers in 13 governorates in Egypt.
